Argentina cut export taxes permanently: soybeans to 26% from 33%, soybean by-products to 24.5% from 31%, and corn and sorghum to 9.5% from 12%. Argentina also scheduled its first corn cargo to China for August 15, with 24,718 tonnes.
Brazilian exports to the US were largely exempt from a 40% extra tariff.
Lower Argentine export taxes can accelerate farmer selling and boost Argentine meal and oil exports, adding supply to world markets. The new China corn access is a modest added export outlet.
