The dollar held near a three-month high in Asia as the euro slipped to $1.1590 after euro zone inflation came in above forecasts. Strikes on Iran have disrupted Middle East energy exports, with Iranian attacks closing Gulf navigation and halting production from Qatar to Iraq.
Brent gained 1.9% to $82.94 per barrel.
