A weekly newsletter recaps the week of June 15-19, 2026, when the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding took effect and crude fell toward the sub-$80 range. It also reports that Fed Chair Kevin Warsh delivered a hawkish hold at 3.50%-3.75%, lifting Treasury yields and pressuring equities.
The peace-driven drop in crude weakens the energy-linked support for soybean oil and biofuel feedstocks, while a hawkish Fed strengthens the dollar and can weigh on dollar-denominated commodity prices.
