BBVA Research projects Peru's economy to grow 3.1% in 2025, supported by record terms of trade, improved business confidence and new copper mine construction. Growth is expected to slow to about 2.7% in 2026 amid electoral uncertainty.
Lower oil prices are expected, while copper and gold remain strong, supporting Peru's terms of trade and its external surplus. Expected sol weakness toward year-end could affect local feed and fishmeal import costs.
