Soybeans extended a rally on hopes of continued Chinese buying under a trade agreement, with China purchasing 430,000 tonnes of US beans last week. December soybean meal rallied $52 per ton over 14 sessions, the largest advance in two years, while Brazilian bean prices weakened after China bought Brazilian cargoes below US levels.
Chinese purchases support US soybean and meal prices, while cheaper Brazilian beans and a closed US meal export window limit upside and shift export demand toward soybean oil.
