Asian spot LNG prices rose for a second straight week to their highest level in over two months, with October delivery at $11.40/mmBtu. Planned maintenance at Australia's Wheatstone LNG and a Sakhalin-2 production line halt in Russia tightened supply, and new buyers in Thailand and Bangladesh added demand.
Tighter Asian LNG supply lifts natural gas costs for importers and can support gas-linked fertilizer and energy costs for feed producers. The effect on Henry Hub is limited because the disruptions are regional.
