Vietnam's fertiliser association forecasts prices will stay high in coming months because of volatile global gas and petrol prices. Gas makes up 80-90% of ammonia production cost, and current urea and DAP prices in Vietnam remain elevated.
Natural gas drives ammonia costs, so continued energy volatility keeps urea and DAP prices supported. Feed and crop producers should expect fertiliser costs to stay firm.
