Feed wheat in Western Canada is priced up to $6/bu in Edmonton and about $250/t in Lethbridge, while feed barley is in the mid-to-high $250s/t into Lethbridge after softening slightly. Canadian corn imports from the US reached 164,600 tonnes in the week of January 14-20, about 10% more than the prior week.
Strong Prairie feed grain prices and continued US corn imports indicate competitive feed substitution in Canada, with much of the incoming corn already bought.
