Ukrzaliznytsia, the state railway, banned rail transport of grain in private freight cars through the Zhovtneve and Zhovtneve-Export stations from August 16 until further notice. The ban covers major exporters including Louis Dreyfus, Kernel and GrainCorp.
Earlier large-scale restrictions to Odesa and Mykolaiv ports had begun on July 31.
