FCStone estimates Australian wheat production at 15.54 million tonnes, about 20 percent below the official 19.2 million tonne estimate, based on a survey of clients. The survey also puts Australian rapeseed at 1.82 million tonnes against official forecasts of 2.3 million.
A smaller Australian crop risks losing export share in Indonesia and South Korea, though falling prices limit how much the forecast lifts world wheat values.
