Statistics Canada data showed the canola crush was up 8.5 percent year to date, with more than 3.3 million tonnes processed by the end of November. Crush margins roughly doubled year on year, and canola meal output rose nearly 8.8 percent.
Strong domestic crush expands meal supply in Canada, which is bearish for canola meal prices even as it absorbs some canola that cannot reach China.
