Pig producers in China are rebuilding herds after African swine fever losses and shifting toward corn-, sorghum- and soymeal-based diets. A U.S. Grains Council official said China has auctioned 48 million metric tons of corn in the past 12 weeks.
Rebuilding herds and a move away from inferior feeds raise import demand for corn, sorghum, barley and soymeal, which supports U.S. feed grain prices.
