China's soybean imports almost doubled year on year in March, as cargoes from top exporter Brazil cleared customs after earlier delays. First-quarter corn and wheat shipments also rose as elevated domestic corn prices amid a supply shortage drew in imports.
Strong Chinese import demand tightens global export availability for soybeans, corn and wheat, supporting prices. Import pull for feed grains is especially supportive for feed buyers.
