A Russian Ministry of Agriculture decree restricts exports of amino acid feeds, including L-lysine sulphate, L-lysine hydrochloride and DL-methionine, along with rice and grains, from 1 July to 31 December 2022. The stated aim is to stabilise domestic prices and secure supply for Russia's livestock sector.
Russian export curbs on lysine and methionine tighten global supply of key feed amino acids, which can lift prices for feed compounders outside Russia. Restrictions on grains add to export tightness in the Black Sea supply chain.
