US Cattle farmers strongly oppose the import of Paraguayan beef

The US Cattlemen's Association strongly opposes a USDA APHIS proposal to allow fresh chilled or frozen beef imports from Paraguay. The association cites animal health concerns, its estimate of $12 million to $23 million in annual producer losses, and a nearly ten-year gap since APHIS last visited Paraguay.
