The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) will from 30 December 2024 require operators and traders to ensure cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soya and wood, and derived products, are deforestation-free. The rules apply to EU-produced and imported goods alike.
Soy, cattle and palm-derived inputs sold into the EU will need due diligence paperwork, which could add compliance cost and split EU-bound supply from other markets, pressuring soy-based feed prices and meat supply chains.
