Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's June outlook cut its 2023-24 durum price forecast to $430/t from $450/t and projected a 33% rebound in Canadian oat output. It also expects the new-crop oat price to fall $40/t and the new-crop barley price to be $20/t lower.
A larger Canadian oat crop and lower new-crop barley and oat prices point to cheaper feed grain alternatives for buyers in the coming crop year.
