Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's March outlook cut the 2024-25 canola price forecast by C$25 a tonne and the 2025-26 canola forecast by C$40 a tonne. It raised the new-crop flax price by C$105 a tonne on strong demand and tight supplies, and it projects the lowest new-crop oat price in five years.
Lower projected canola and oat prices point to weaker Canadian feed grain values, while flax strength reflects tight supply in oilseeds.
