The EIA reported that the national average diesel price declined for a seventh consecutive week to $3.487 a gallon for the week of May 26. WTI crude was trading at $61.76 a barrel, slightly lower than a week earlier.
A sustained run of weekly declines points to lower trucking and logistics costs for feed. The price path reflects softer crude and distillate markets.
