EIA reported the US national average diesel price fell 3.5 cents to $3.282/gallon, the fifth consecutive weekly decline totaling 11.2 cents. The average is 37 cents above a year earlier, and WTI traded at $56.76 per barrel.
Easing diesel costs reduce trucking and farm input expenses for feed buyers, though prices remain well above last year's levels.
