The USDA Grain Transportation Report dated March 13, 2025 reports a record weekly high of 0.74 million tons of corn inspected for export from Pacific Northwest terminals in the week ending March 6. Wheat and soybean shipments from the PNW fell sharply, and nationwide corn inspections reached 1.8 million tons.
Strong corn export inspections support US corn demand and Gulf and PNW basis, while the sharp drop in wheat and soy shipments signals weaker export demand for those crops.
