Argentina's soybean sales doubled in the first 18 days of June from a year earlier to 4.71 million tons as farmers rushed to close deals before export taxes rose on July 1. Soybean tax is set to rise from 26% to 33%, with soy oil and meal going from 24.5% to 31%.
Analysts said deals could stall abruptly in July once the lower rate expires.
Front-loaded Argentine sales tighten near-term export availability for soymeal and soyoil, supporting prices, while a post-deadline lull could weigh on export flows and offer later in the summer.
