Excessive rain in Parana has damaged the wheat crop, with the remaining field crop deteriorating and quality declining. Argentina's wheat crop is also estimated at about 15 million tonnes, down two to three million from earlier forecasts.
Lower South American wheat quality and output reduce exportable supply, which can support wheat prices and increase demand for feed-quality alternatives like corn.
