A Reuters column warns that La Niña's return could again threaten South American crops. Brazil's second corn crop was badly hit by drought and frost this year, and Parana's second corn yields were about half of normal.
A renewed La Niña would raise the risk of another dry season in Brazil and Argentina, tightening corn and soybean export supplies and supporting prices.
