FOMC: Fed Raises Interest Rates by 75 Basis Points to Double Down on Inflation

The Federal Reserve raised its target federal funds rate by 75 basis points to a range of 2.25% to 2.5%, its second straight 75-point increase. Policymakers cited the hottest cost pressures in about 40 years.
