French fertilizer imports from Morocco fell 42.2% by volume to 101,973 tonnes in January–September 2026 compared with the same period in 2025. DAP imports dropped 59.9% to 23,062 tonnes, while superphosphate imports declined 25.7%; the average value per tonne of Moroccan fertilizer imports rose 22.8%.
Lower Moroccan shipments reduce one source of fertilizer supply for France, including DAP, which may support prices if replacement supplies are limited. The higher average import value also indicates that unit costs rose despite the lower volumes.
After 193 past bullish trade events, DAP moved a median +0.4% over 5 sessions (54% higher; middle half -0.3% to +1.8%), and +1.9% over 20.
