The Thai Feed Mill Association sent Commerce Minister Suphajee a fourth open letter on November 6, urging an urgent committee meeting to set 2027 import rules for corn and wheat under the 3:1 measure. The association warned that without an advance policy, importers cannot plan shipments that take three to six months, risking shortages, disrupted feed production and higher vessel waiting costs.
Delayed import rules could constrain feed-grain availability in Thailand and raise procurement and demurrage costs. That risk is supportive of domestic corn and wheat prices if import arrangements are not clarified in time.
