A CGS-CIMB survey estimated that Malaysian palm oil stocks fell 8% month-on-month to 1.59 million tonnes at the end of October, as output declined and exports increased. It also cited movement restrictions in Sabah, worker shortages, and stronger exports potentially supported by price discounts and pre-holiday buying.
Lower inventories and production alongside robust exports point to tighter Malaysian supply and could support palm oil prices. The survey also noted that drought-related disruption to Black Sea sunflower oil supplies may have helped boost palm oil exports.
After 149 past bullish report events, Palm Oil moved a median +0.5% over 5 sessions (57% higher; middle half -1.1% to +1.8%), and +0.8% over 20.
