Aonong reported October pig sales of 294,500 head, up 54.8%, and a herd of 980,100 head at month-end, up 50.7% year over year. Dongrui raised monthly hog revenue by 6.5% to RMB188 million, while its selling price fell to RMB11.67 per kg.
Aonong’s higher sales and larger herd point to increased Chinese hog availability, which may add pressure to prices if demand does not keep pace. Dongrui’s lower selling price is consistent with a softer market, though the report covers individual companies rather than the whole sector.
After 159 past bearish report events, Lean Hogs moved a median -0.2% over 5 sessions (47% higher; middle half -2.2% to +1.3%), and +1.0% over 20.
