Gujarat Energy signed a 10-year agreement with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company to receive up to 4 million tonnes of LNG for India starting in 2028. The gas will come from ADNOC subsidiary XRG’s international portfolio, marking the first sale from that portfolio.
The long-term contract adds to India’s future LNG supply commitments and supports demand for imported gas, but deliveries begin only in 2028, limiting near-term market impact. It could modestly increase competition among LNG suppliers for Indian demand.
After 24 past bearish trade events, Natural Gas moved a median +2.8% over 5 sessions (54% higher; middle half -4.5% to +7.3%), and -1.2% over 20.
