Indonesia’s agriculture minister said the government is preparing a system linking corn farmers, livestock producers, cooperatives, and Bulog. Bulog would buy surplus harvests and store them in warehouse-receipt facilities so farmers can draw on the stocks when supplies tighten, particularly from September to November.
Buying and storing surplus corn could shift supply into lean periods and reduce feed-supply volatility for livestock producers. The mechanism may support prices during harvest surpluses while limiting price spikes when supplies are tight.
After 439 past neutral policy events, Corn moved a median +0.1% over 5 sessions (51% higher; middle half -1.3% to +1.2%), and +1.1% over 20.
