The Thai Feed Mill Association sent a fourth open letter urging the government to promptly decide the 2027 import policy for feed corn and wheat under the 3:1 measure. It warned that delays could leave feed ingredients critically short, disrupt production planning and lead to vessel-waiting costs of around one million baht per ship.
Without a clear import schedule, buyers may be unable to book supplies several months ahead, tightening Thai availability of corn and wheat and increasing feed costs. The shortage risk is supportive of local prices for both ingredients.
