The University of Queensland is leading a partnership project with ACIAR and SunRice to support smallholder rice farmers in Vietnam's Mekong Delta. The project aims to improve sustainability and connect farmers to higher-value international markets through a traceable, quality-assured rice value chain.
The project targets higher-value rice export markets and could gradually change Vietnamese rice supply quality. Its direct effect on near-term rice prices is small.
