Indonesia's government will sell 380,000 tons of broken rice held by state agency Bulog at Rp11,000 per kg. The stock goes to micro, small and medium businesses such as cake makers and vermicelli producers.
Bulog will also make 100,000 to 150,000 tons of corn available for poultry feed.
Selling domestic broken rice reduces the need to import it for food processors, which eases demand for imported broken rice. The corn release adds feed supply in the domestic market.
