European gas prices fell more than 8% in the latest session, trading around 95-96 EUR/MWh, as hopes for a US-Iran diplomatic breakthrough eased supply fears. Balkan Gas Hub day-ahead gas for 3 November settled at 87.67 EUR/MWh, down 8.47%, while the December TTF futures contract closed at 94.86 EUR/MWh.
EU gas storage was 74.56% full as of 2 November.
Gas is a key input for nitrogen fertiliser production, so lower European gas prices ease pressure on fertiliser costs, though limited storage and winter demand keep the market tight. Energy-wide moves like this can also spill into feed-grain and oilseed-processing costs.
After 59 past bearish macro events, NATGAS moved a median +1.3% over 5 sessions (58% higher; middle half -5.0% to +5.2%), and -2.0% over 20.
