The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) has been postponed but not cancelled. From 30 December 2026, firms trading cattle, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, rubber, soy and wood on the EU market must prove their products did not contribute to deforestation, with a later deadline of 30 June 2027 for micro and small enterprises.
Compliance requirements for traceability of soy, palm oil and other feed-linked commodities into the EU tighten at year end, which could raise documentation costs and marginally reduce available supply from non-compliant origins.
