The Tillamook County Creamery Association has sued Northwest Dairy Association, the cooperative that owns Darigold, for backing out of a 25-year agreement tied to federal milk marketing order pooling. The creamery is seeking a temporary restraining order to force the cooperative to honour the deal.
If the agreement ends, Tillamook would lose pooling payments, pressuring its milk supply and regional farm finances. The dispute is regional and unlikely to move national dairy or feed prices.
