Bunge has closed its acquisition of Central Washington Corn Processors, a feed processing facility in Richland, Washington. The plant has 2.1 million bushels of grain storage, covered storage, and direct BNSF and Union Pacific rail service, and it processes corn, DDGS, cottonseed and canola meal for regional dairies and feedlots.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The deal moves Bunge's feed business closer to Pacific Northwest livestock end users, which may shift regional feed sourcing and logistics but is unlikely to move broad commodity prices.
After 480 past neutral trade events, Corn moved a median +0.2% over 5 sessions (54% higher; middle half -1.1% to +1.6%), and +0.7% over 20.
