The Ministry of Agriculture plans to supply about 33,000 tons of feed corn to Java from South Sulawesi, Gorontalo and West Nusa Tenggara under the SPHP stabilisation programme. Bulog is loading shipments, including 10,000 tons at Makassar, for delivery to Surabaya and to micro livestock farmers in East Java, Central Java, West Java and Yogyakarta.
The ministry is also coordinating with the food task force to prevent hoarding.
Moving this volume of corn into Java tightens the regional balance and can ease feed costs for poultry and pig farms. Stronger distribution supports supply but also limits upward price pressure on feed.
After 439 past neutral policy events, Corn moved a median +0.1% over 5 sessions (51% higher; middle half -1.3% to +1.2%), and +1.1% over 20.
