UATRE and CRISOL Proyectos Sociales launched a labor compliance review for Argentine soybean and beef properties that sell to the EU. The review uses a 20-question form and inspections, and produces a Legal Compliance Statement.
Initial implementation is scheduled for December.
The voluntary review adds documentation steps for Argentine soy and beef exporters to the EU but is not a mandatory EU certification. Its direct price effect on soybeans and cattle is minimal.
