USDA data show US feed grain exports in all forms rose 20 percent year over year to 96.9 million tonnes from September to June. US corn exports are up 36 percent to 49.9 million tonnes, and ethanol exports reached a record 1.15 billion gallons.
Exports to Brazil, India and Japan rose sharply.
Record export demand tightens US supplies and supports corn and DDGS prices, especially as buyers look to the US ahead of the new crop. Strong ethanol export demand also helps support the ethanol and corn complex.
After 729 past bullish trade events, Corn moved a median +0.4% over 5 sessions (56% higher; middle half -1.1% to +1.8%), and +0.5% over 20.
