Indian farm exports were steady in April-November in rupee terms but fell 2 percent in dollar terms, according to APEDA data. Pulses and dairy shipments grew, while non-basmati rice fell 15 percent in value because Indian rice became expensive on world markets.
Buffalo meat shipments also dropped.
Weaker non-basmati rice exports reflect Indian rice being priced out of world markets, which keeps demand for Indian rice soft. Shifts in pulse and dairy flows matter less for feed prices.
