India's agricultural and processed food exports fell 2.27% to $16.27 billion in April to February 2018-19, according to APEDA data. The decline came mainly from wheat, down 48.79%, and non-basmati rice, down 19.33%.
Lower Indian wheat and rice export volumes reduce supply to the world market, which is mildly supportive for export prices. The overall impact is limited given the modest size of the decline.
After 88 past bullish report events, Rough Rice moved a median +0.0% over 5 sessions (50% higher; middle half -1.5% to +2.1%), and +2.5% over 20.
