Malaysia kept its July crude palm oil export duty unchanged at 0%, based on a circular from the Malaysian Palm Oil Board citing the customs department. The duty has been zero since September, and the July reference price was 1,970.44 ringgit per tonne, below the 2,250 ringgit threshold that triggers a duty.
A zero export duty keeps Malaysian palm oil competitively priced for export buyers, supporting export flows. The government had already deferred duty imposition to year-end to boost exports.
After 513 past neutral policy events, Palm Oil moved a median 0.0% over 5 sessions (50% higher; middle half -1.6% to +1.4%), and -0.1% over 20.
