The EIA reported that the national average diesel price fell for a seventh consecutive week to $2.983 per gallon, the first time it dropped below $3 in 27 weeks. The average is down 24.3 cents year over year, and WTI was trading at $54.05 per barrel.
Sub-$3 diesel and a weaker crude price ease freight and feed transport costs, though the decline reflects soft demand and tariff uncertainty.
After 86 past bearish report events, ULSD / Diesel moved a median -0.9% over 5 sessions (37% higher; middle half -4.3% to +0.9%), and +0.4% over 20.
