The EIA reported that the national average diesel price fell for a fourth consecutive week to $3.032 a gallon, slipping by only a fraction of a cent. The average has stayed above $3 a gallon for 25 weeks and is down 19.1 cents year on year, while WTI traded near $54.38 a barrel.
Routine weekly declines in diesel keep US delivery and freight costs modestly easing, with little sign of a sharp price move.
After 86 past bearish report events, DIESEL moved a median -0.9% over 5 sessions (37% higher; middle half -4.3% to +0.9%), and +0.4% over 20.
