Illinois Congressmen Darin LaHood and Cheri Bustos joined a bipartisan group of lawmakers pushing to create one regional port along the Mississippi. The Army Corps received resolutions from eight Iowa and Illinois counties to form a statistical boundary called the Mississippi River Ports of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.
