France sees 2021 wheat area rise; barley, rapeseed and sugar beet fall - Markets

France's farm ministry estimates the 2021 soft wheat area, including spring wheat, at 4.9 million hectares, up 15% on 2020. Barley area is seen down 12% to 1.73 million hectares, and rapeseed and sugar beet areas also fall.

WHY IT MATTERS
