Ukraine's Cabinet approved a procedure for paying up to Hr 5,000 per hectare in irrevocable subsidies to producers of buckwheat, millet, rye and oats. The budget for the 2021 program is Hr 50 million, and it is the first such state support in Ukraine this year.
Subsidies aimed at expanding niche grain acreage could eventually add minor oat and rye supply, but the 2021 budget is too small to move world prices.
After 16 past neutral policy events, Oats moved a median -1.1% over 5 sessions (44% higher; middle half -3.1% to +4.3%), and -5.7% over 20.
Moves of each commodity's benchmark from the last close before the event. Historical reads pool past events of the same kind; they describe what happened, not what will. Not investment advice.
