Euronext December milling wheat settled up 1.7% at 243 euros a tonne after Statistics Canada cut its all-wheat forecast to 21.7 million tonnes, slightly below expectations. The French farm ministry also trimmed its soft wheat forecast by 600,000 tonnes, though output remains 24% above last year.
Drought-reduced Canadian supplies and a smaller French crop support wheat and rapeseed prices, with strong European export demand adding further upward pressure.
After 1,072 past bullish weather events, Wheat (SRW) moved a median +0.2% over 5 sessions (55% higher; middle half -1.4% to +2.3%), and +0.3% over 20.
